Trotz Straßensperren und ‘Bridge outs on the way to school’ ließen sich die deutschen chaperones nicht aufhalten und erreichten knapp den Bus zum Liberty State Park. Was folgte war eine exciting Cruise by boat into the living History auf Ellis Island – über die Einwanderung damals und heute. Then, FINALLY we saw HER: the amazing Miss Liberty, das Symbol der Freiheit. Wieder an Land in Battery Park ließen wir uns von the Bull in front of Wall Street, the 9/11 Monument, dem Freedom Tower und vielen riesigen shiny buildings beeindrucken. Happy Soul Food gab es dann für ALLE bei Shake Shack – yumyum 🤤. Im Gänsemarsch erkundeten wir dann Lower Manhattan around Greenwich Village und Uptown Richtung Penn Station – jaywalking included by Bill and many other locals.
